If the head lights and horn work it's most likely the starter or a relay for the starter.
Or the main electrical ignition switch under the dash.

you can also use a multimeter to check to see if the starter is getting power. Check the main power wire leading to it first to see if its getting voltage. Then have someone turn the key and have the probe on the starter solenoid lead and see if it gets voltage when the key is turned. If its getting power all round your starter is prob bad.

bad battery? get it tested, check the connections too

Mine was that 1 of 10 with the alternator. I put a brand new one in and Midas fried my alternator when I got new exhaust put on. Fortunately, I went with the Duralast lifetime warranty.

It could be bad battery, alternator, or starter. If you are still getting power (i.e. headlights, etc.) it is probably the starter. Usually if the starter is bad you can't jump start it. It is a possibility the bendix is not engaging. You might get lucky and have it catch the flywheel. But if you can get it jump started it is probably the battery or alternator which most auto stores test for free. Can you hear the starter "spin"?

Im still sticking with it is probably the starter. Check the starter. For all of you that keep saying alternator you need to reread the original post. He said even with a jump he wasn't getting anything out of the starter. Check the starter like I said and we can build off of that.

There's also the possibility that your starter isn't grounding. I stopped to pump gas one day and when I tried to start the car to leave the gas station the starter wouldn't make a sound. After replacing the starter and that not fixing the problem I discovered that the ground wire coming from the starter that connects to the engine block was corroded. after cleaning the end of the ground wire off with a wire brush my car fired right up.
